What is 4wdID?
4wdID is an independent 4WD safety training and internal record system. It helps drivers, instructors, training providers and brand partners work to the same safety, assessment and verification process.
What do 4wdID Training Records, Authorised Instructors and Authorised Training Providers represent?
4wdID Training Records, Authorised Instructors and Authorised Training Providers represent 4wdID's internal training, course-completion, authorised delivery and public verification status. They describe learning results or delivery relationships within the 4wdID framework. Real-world driving, events and instruction must still follow local laws, venue rules, organiser requirements and safety judgement.
Is the standard course suitable for complete beginners?
Yes. The standard course is designed to establish the minimum safety baseline, focusing on risk recognition, vehicle basics, low-speed control, radio and spotter communication, and training methods that can be reviewed.
What is a 4wdID Training Base?
A 4wdID Training Base is an approved venue or partner operation where 4WD driver training can be run safely and consistently under 4wdID standards. A base may be an off-road park, overlanding route, destination route, driving school, operator facility or partner venue.
What is an Authorised Training Provider?
An Authorised Training Provider is approved by 4wdID to deliver courses with suitable sites, vehicles, equipment, safety procedures and instructor support. This authorisation only refers to 4wdID's internal delivery framework and does not replace any venue, business, event, safety or other permits required by law.
What is a 4wdID Authorised Instructor?
A 4wdID Authorised Instructor is approved by 4wdID to teach within its curriculum, safety requirements, assessment process and verification workflow. It is an internal course delivery role; real instruction must still follow local laws, venue rules and safety requirements.
Does internal record mean I can drive every track?
No. A completion proof only indicates that you completed the relevant training and assessment. Actual route access still depends on local law, site rules, weather, environmental restrictions and team judgement.
Can I verify a student card or course completion record?
Yes. Where public lookup is enabled, you can enter a student card or course completion record number to check whether it exists in the 4wdID platform record and view its public status.
How do I apply as a provider or instructor?
Use the enquiry page and choose the relevant path: apply as a 4wdID Authorised Instructor, apply as an Authorised Training Provider, brand / overlanding partnership or another enquiry type.
Can electrified off-road vehicles join?
Yes. The course emphasises electrified 4WD torque behaviour, underbody battery-pack risk, water-crossing and grounding limits, and the differences between electronic and mechanical 4WD systems.
报名后临时有事，可以退款吗？
可以申请。开课前 7 日以上取消，可申请全额退款；开课前 3–7 日取消，可选择退还实付课程费 50%，或免费改签 1 次至 6 个月内同等级课程；开课前不足 3 日，因资源已锁定，原则上不支持现金退款，但可申请名额变更或特殊改签。完整规则见 退款与改签规则。
为什么开课前不足 3 日不能全额退？
4wdID 标准课是小班制实操课程。开课临近后，教练、安全员、场地、保险、教材物料、车辆装备和班级名额已为学员预留，临期取消通常无法再次销售该名额，因此会产生实际成本。
天气不好怎么办？
如出现恶劣天气、政府管制、场地关闭、道路或环境风险等情况，4wdID 会以安全优先原则调整课程安排。无法按计划开课时，学员可优先免费改签；无法改签的，按未交付部分处理退款。
可以把名额给朋友吗？
可以申请名额变更，但受让人必须重新提交报名表、健康声明、风险告知、保险凭证和车辆资料，并通过 4wdID 审核。未经审核通过，不得进入实操。
没有保险可以参加吗？
不可以。有效保险凭证是进入实操环节的前置条件。未提交有效保险凭证，或保险、健康、车辆资料存在明显安全问题的，4wdID 有权要求补充、延期、改签或拒绝进入实操。
